It's pretty hard to compete with arguably the most popular international ETF in Canada, which would be XAW.TO. However, there is a Vanguard alternative as well, VXC.
Both of these ETFs hold thousands of stocks(XAW does so by holding underlying ETFs), and they aim to provide Canadians global exposure at the click of a button. Keep in mind, both these ETFs exclude any Canadian investments, as they're meant for Canadians who want complete international exposure.
Both have double digit 5 year annualized returns, and are probably the 2 most popular options in the country. Keep in mind however, they still do have some pretty heavy exposure to the U.S. markets. I'll drop a few links down to the fact sheets of the ETFs, so you can see exactly what they provide.
