Hi Dan.
You answered my question on Enbridge and Fortis i’am not a good stocker,
Lost money on Telus and AQN, I don’t have the time or knowledge to understand each stock.
My thought on going into retirement is to have 4 Dividend ETFS keep it simple.
1 Canadian 2 Global 3 International 4 Bond.
Your thoughts and any suggestions Thanks

Hi There,
VDY- Canadian High Dividend ETF (you can also pair this with XEI & XDIV or with these ones as your primary Canadian Exposure).
VIDY - High Dividend Yield Outside of Canada & the U.S.
XTLT - Long Term U.S. Bonds
BDIV - Global Dividend Growth ETF (has a covered call strategy and has dividend paying stocks from Europe, Asia, and Australia).

Hey there. This is often a strategy a lot of retirees utilize yes. Or, a lot of them will build the bulk of their portfolio, let's say 70%~, and then utilize the remaining 30%~ to buy satellite holdings in individual companies. They would call this a core (70%) satellite (30%) strategy.
