Retirement Portfolio

Hi Dan, I’m retired, 68 years old and have enjoyed trading individual stocks over the years but recently converted my RRSP and Lira to RRIF and LIF.
I’m in the process of restructuring those portfolios to a cash wedge style and have 1 or 2 years withdrawal amounts in cash like funds and the balance in mid to growth balanced etfs (80 -20 0r even 90-10). I’m wondering if you ever considered adding a retirement model portfolio made up of etf’s. I’ll keep my individual stocks in my non registered though. Thanks.

I like this idea as well, Dan. Or perhaps mostly ETF's with a few select stable stocks such as Fortis.

I’d be interested in that as well.

It is an interesting concept. Managing 6 models is already hard enough. I will have a look at our current models and see if some of them are generated little activity. I have retired unpopular models in the past and introduced new ones, so this is a possibility.
