I keep tabs on it, but it's not something I overly try to monitor and maintain because I'm not heavily weighted towards one sector anyways. As you can tell, I do have quite a bit of exposure to the financial sector. However, these allocations are not truly 100% reliable. For example, Brookfield would be concentrated in the financial services segment when in reality, that business has exposure to infrastructure, utilities, real estate, insurance, etc.
The general rule of thumb is no more than 20% allocated to a specific sector/industry. The closest I am to that would be the financial sector, but it's never worried me too much because a lot of my financials are well-diversified and not really exposed to the same area of the economy.
