I'm very hesitant on companies still in the exploration and development stage. They pose significant risk. In my eyes, Battle North is no different.
There's a lot that can go right with these companies, but there's also a lot that can go wrong.
It seems like it has a very strong management team though, including the former CEO of Kirkland Lake Gold. And this is a stock that is also very heavily owned by institutional investors at 83%.
The company definitely has potential. But, it also has considerable risk.
If gold continues to follow, we can expect this stock to face significant pressure. It has a beta of almost 2, suggesting it is twice as volatile as the overall markets. Compare this to major producers like Kirkland, Agnico, Barrick which all have beta's below 1.
