Hey guys!

What about this IPO on Feb 1st, 2021 : TOPICUS ! This new business is backed by CSU which is a great canadian company.

This IPO is probably a great thing for all of us if we jump in early. Right? Would you please explain and give your opinion on this IPO.

Thanks!

Hi Mat!

I think people on the market will expect TOPICUS to grow crazy like Constellation Software. That's why I think this IPO may be very good!

Please keep us in the loop on this one when you see new info on the IPO.

Thanks!

Hi Claude,

First off - IPOs are never a guarantee and are usually quite volatile - so nothing is automatically a 'great thing for all of us if we jump in early'. In fact, 5 of the last 6 IPOs are in the negative based on open price.

That said, Topicus is certainly one to look out for. The company focusus on buliding out and acquiring Vendor Mangement Systems (VMS) so it is essentially a software as a service (SaaS) company. That alone will mean there will likely be interest in the company. THe SaaS industry is white hot and many of those recent IPOs are doing quite well.

Topicus is on pace to grow revenue and earnings by approximately 20% and 44% in 2020 and the company believes it can maintain that level of growth. This is a company that is profitable, a feature that is sure to be attractive to many. Topicus is like a mini, European version of Constellation. It has 85 independently managed software businesses in Europe and covers a whole host of industries.

Can't really put a value on the company because it is unclear what price the shares will begin trading out. We have the number of shares outstanding, but no details on price so can't really say if this is one to look at day 1 or not without knowing those details. It is one I am certainly keeping my eye on.
