TSX vs NEO

I noticed that the end of day prices often don’t match between the TSX listing and the NEO listing. For example as of today, Saturday July 3rd, DCBO on the TSX is $76.75 and on NEO it’s $77.16. I assume it’s just because of people trading on different exchanges so the trading activity would always be slightly different but would follow closely to one another? Similar to how a stock like LSPD would on the TSX and the NYSE?
Is there anything more to it?

I like to use TradingView for my watchlist and was switching each stock to NEO due to its real-time pricing but noticed the price difference when doing so

Thank you Mat! That makes sense now with NEO. DCBO was just an example, I noticed it with every stock I had on my watchlist, that one just being the most extreme in price difference.

Just to clarify though. What I meant regarding LSPD was that being on two exchanges, the TSX and NYSE, was how the price movement of each will follow one another very closely, obviously with one in CAD and one in USD. I was wondering if it was a similar deal with a stock being listed on both the TSX and NEO with traders on both but ultimately both being independent which would explain the slight price difference. Unless I'm just misunderstanding how a stock behaves when on two different exchanges? The charts always look ever so slightly different between a stock on TSX and say NYSE.

Hypothetically, if say LSPD on NYSE moved up 10c but in that moment there was no action on the TSX, would the price automatically go up for the TSX listing or does it rely on people/bots to follow that price action?

Thanks again

Just following up on this as a I received a response from Neo - turns out I was wrong about the trades. It does trade every listed stock, but not all are listed on the exchange - important distinction to make. Here is the response:
------------------------
"NEO trades all TSX, tsxv, and CSE listed securities. We of course trade our own as well (Neo listed).

While we tend to have good quotes across all listed securities regardless of which on listed it (and we show that on our website), the price which should make it client portfolios is in fact each respective listing markets LSP (or last sale price) or their Closing Auction Price.

In our case, the last trade on NO was at 3:58:39pm.

According to stockwatch.com, looks like TMX had a closing auction for DCBO on Friday right at 4pm. Price was 76.75. https://www.stockwatch.com/Quote/Detail?C:DCBO

The only securities where our site would be precisely accurate would be for NEO listed securities where we are the listing market, and responsible for publishing the official closing price for our Neo listed securities. "
-----------------------

So based on this, there may be some minor differences but nothing I'd be too concerned about and as I suspected the only 100% accurate information would be those for NEO-listed stocks.

Hey there,

First off, TSX and NEO are different exchanges and your example is interesting because DCBO does not trade on the NEO. NEO may list the price, but DCBO doesn't actually trade on the NEO - I have no idea how accurate their data is for non-NEO stocks. I'm actually gonna reach out to my contact and see why its different, maybe they have some sort of after hours priced in.

LSPD on TSX and NYSE is different because of the exchange ratio. Nothing more than that and the example with LSDP - it actually trades on both those exchanges. Unlike the DCBO and NEO example.

As mentioned, I'll reach out and ask why the difference and if the live pricing applies only to NEO-listed stock or very sotck in their database.
