VRE ETF

Any thoughts on VRE ETF? I already have a position in RioCan and don’t mind further diversifying with an REIT ETF. Seems like they pay a good dividend too, looking to add it to my RRSP account with intentions to hold and forget.

Can't really argue much with VRE, or most of Vanguard's products. Ultra low fees, and solid performance. 5 year returns of only 3.91% but, 2020 has caused this to dip significantly. I really like the exposure to Canadian Apartment REIT and Granite REIT in the top 3.

XRE isn't a bad option either, it just has a higher management fee and is a little more top heavy. Check it out!

I'm not a huge ETF guy myself, but I don't judge those who are looking for the exposure you offer. In terms of REIT ETF's you've got very limited exposure here in Canada. I'd say XRE and VRE are your 2 best.
