WCN Waste Connections Stock decrease

How come WCN keeps going down in price ? I bought some shares in November after seeing it on the foundational stock list. I bought it around $266 per share. However, it has gone down to $246 now ? Do you think it will recover ? Do you recommend that I keep holding on to this stock for Long term ?

Hey there. I've attached a long-term chart of Waste Connections to give you an idea of how irrelevant short-term movements in stock price are. Over the course of 17 years, you'll see numerous situations where WCN went down 10%,20%, even 30%, but still provided returns of 1520% over that timeframe.

Price movements over the short-term are completely irrelevant, and the focus should be on buying companies and holding them for the long-term, ignoring short-term price volatility.
