WCP has historically been a producer that has struggled to provide long-standing returns to shareholders.

I would argue this company, outside of the large oil run in the early 2010's, has never been much of a money maker. It benefitted heavily form a large runup in energy stocks post pandemic, but I would attribute most of this to a rising tide lifts all ships.
