I like Qtrade more than Wealthsimple, no doubt. However, for the money Wealthsimple was throwing around (a brokerage that I would view as a close 2nd to Qtrade) it was pretty much a no brainer for me to swap.
There isn't really too much to look out for. Keep an eye on your currencies if you have any USD or even other currencies. I have heard they sometimes transfer in the wrong currency but it's rectified if you bring it up.
If it wasn't for some weird Constellation Software warrants, all my money would be been transferred over in the span of a week. They're truly an amazing platform. Great mobile app, great desktop platform.
Just understand it's a no-frills, commission free brokerage. Almost zero added functionality outside of buying/selling.
