What do you think about the ETF TEC from TD?

So first off, QQQ will be a NASDAQ-100 ETF. So it will contain the top 100 companies on the NASDAQ Index by size.

You do not need to be a tech company to be listed on the NASDAQ. This is why you'll see companies like Costco, Pepsi etc on the NASDAQ despite being consumer based companies. Most are tech on the NASDAQ, but not all.

Another thing about QQQ is that it will contain US based companies. TEC, on the other hand, is global companies.

For TEC.TO, this is a pure global technology play, so you won't get a lot of the consumer type stocks.

I do like TEC, it's pretty easy exposure for Canadians looking at global technology plays. Keep in mind, it is a "global" fund, but 90% of the fund is still allocated to the United States, primarily because that is where the majority of high-quality tech companies are from.
