What’s Happening with SIR Corp

Hi Guys,
Today after few days when I logged to my trading account, I had the below msg. and I was wondering what’s happening and what should be my action. I know the present price of this share is way below my purchase price of $11 and not sure what should have been my action, anyway it too late for me to take any action.

But I would appreciate if you could give me some inside stories as I can see few statements by SIR (SIR Corp. Announces it is No Longer Proceeding with its Proposed Acquisition of the Assets or Securities of SIR Royalty Income Fund) and Janes Acquisition Corp. (Janes Acquisition Corp. Announces Completion of Offer for Units of SIR Royalty and Comments on Recent Press Releases) which aren’t too clear to me.

This is the message on my trading account:
Dear client, please be advised that there is a voluntary Mini-Tender announced for SIR ROYALTY INCM FND T/U by Janes Acquisition Corp that may require your action prior to the deadline. Holders have the following options:

Option 1: To receive $4.25 CAD per share of SIR ROYALTY INCM FND T/U tendered. Subject to Proration

Option 2: Do Not Participate. (Default Option)

To exercise, please contact an Investment Representative prior to February 10, 2021 (5:00 PM Eastern Time). Thank you for giving this your prompt attention. Yours sincerely, HSBC InvestDirect.

Thanx Dan for the comments and I'll hold on to the shares rather selling at such low price.

Essentially Janes Acquisition Corp is purchasing 322,688 units of SIR.UN for investment purposes, and this is asking if you'd like to sell your shares.

It's a lowball offer in my opinion. I mean I doubt you get back to your $11 initial purchase any time soon, but to sell shares at $4.25 is pretty low.

Completely up to you though.
