Hi Mat and Dan.

I am looking to invest in canadian REITs in my TFSA. Today i got an email on RS.to which is a split corp, but I am mostly looking for growth and safe dividend. Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks
Ben

Hi Dan

thanks for your answer. Any of you guys have investments in AP.UN? It has not recover from covid and is still going down, but I am unsure is there is a possibility for this REIT to go back up? THe dividend is quite interesting, but I want to plan a long term investment in one REIT in my TFSA

thanks

I'd point most people towards our Foundational Stock in Granite REIT (GRT.UN). Especially after the drawdown it's had. We do really like Killam (KMP.UN) as well as a residential play. However, I know a lot of people have fears about the state of residential real estate so they tend to avoid them. That is ultimately up to you. Mat owns Killam.

I think Granite is the best REIT in the country. I own it myself. I also own Automotive Properties REIT. This is more of a niche growth REIT, but it still does pay a very well-covered and high-yielding dividend.
