Hi there,

The answer is - it depends. There is no hard and fast rule here - but an uplisting to the TSX means that XBC has met the more stringent requirements of the TSX Index. Along with this comes greater visibility, it will be eligible to be added to more ETFs which track a variety of TSX industry/sectors/indices, etc and it will attract more investors (institutional and retail). This can be both a good thing and a bad thing. For a company that delivers on expectations, it is certainly a good thing. For one that struggles, it could negatively impact the company as it is held to higher standards than those on the TSX Venture.

I believe this to be a good thing for XBC. It seems to be doing all the right things and I am a big fan of its latest acquisition. I don't think you will see a dip simply because it was uplisted in this case but the recent jump in price is more of a reflection that the market views it as a positive.
